The Sony VAIO FW ($1,000 and up) is a multimedia powerhouse with a 16.4-inch, 16:9 ratio widescreen display that was built for movies, and also features a Memory Stick/SD card slot, three USB ports, 802.11n Wi-Fi, FireWire, microphone and headphone jacks, and a 34mm ExpressCard slot. Step up to the premium version ($1,700 and up) to enjoy the benefits of a built-in Blu-ray drive and a HDMI port for connecting to a big screen. It truly is a portable cinema.
